Find the best parachute hammock

You see them everywhere.

Every hammock brand you can think of makes a parachute hammock.

As do several hundred more brands you've never heard of.

Why is that?

For one, parachute hammocks offer by far the best combination of light weight, durability, comfort and low price.

But there's also a dirty little secret.

All those different parachute hammocks? They're basically the same.

They all come from the same few factories in China.

And the 5 models we offer are no different, except we don't bother putting our own brand on them.

We have a small, a large, an extra large, one that comes bundled with an insect mesh and one that includes both the mesh and a tarp. That covers everything.

Yes, you'll find cheaper ones. Some are actually shockingly cheap. They're also shockingly low quality.

We paid a little more for a supplier who uses quality materials and construction techniques, to ensure high quality hammocks that are lightweight and that last.

Let's find out which of the 5 is right for you.

The Best Parachute Hammock For You

Generally speaking, larger is better. Especially if you plan on sleeping in your hammock.

Larger hammocks have more more space to lie diagonally (the secret to extreme comfort in a hammock). They are a bit bulkier and heavier, but with the lightweight ripstop material, it's a small difference.

Price is a larger difference. The larger hammocks definitely cost more than the smaller ones. But perhaps the most important drawback of a larger hammock is the side material.

The sides are quite high around you when you lie in it, which means you can generally only see out one side at a time. This is not a problem when sleeping (it's actually a benefit, since you can cover yourself like a cocoon), but can be a bit annoying when hanging outdoors where you'd like to enjoy a view.

For that reason, you really need to take the primary purpose for your hammock into account. If you plan on sleeping in it, get a larger one. If you do not, a smaller one may be better. If you will sleep outdoors, an insect mesh and a tarp might be vital. The bundles save money, but both can be bought separately as well.
